Saints Row - The Third (Xbox 360)

Saints Row - The Third is the latest installment of the Saints Row third person action adventure open world/sandbox game series. It is being developed by Volition and will be published by THQ. Saints Row traces the adventures of a Stilwater gang, the 3rd Street Saints. Having been kicked out of Stilwater,  Saints Row - The Third is set in Steelport after they were expelled by the Syndicate. Here, the Saints go head to head against the international Syndicate hellbent on either turning the Saints into a tribute paying sub-group or destroying them entirely. Never one to back down from a challenge to its authority, the Third Street gang embark on an all out war against the Syndicate.

Often compared to that other open world/sandbox epic, Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row brings its own sense of irreverent humor, all out action, and often bizarre settings/situations/decision options. Saints Row - The Third builds on this sensibility and has routinely released trailer videos that highlight the edgy humor and action the series is known for - including, but not limited to, sex toys. While a strong storyline is important to the series, it never fails to not take itself too seriously. Among the new gaming elements introduced by Saints Row to sandbox games are: multiplayer co-op, GPS location, multiple choice decision systems, and a high level of customization. The game is slated for release on November 15 on all three major platforms.
