About this Game
Ninja Gaiden 3 is a Team Ninja-developed video game with action-adventure themes. This Ninja Gaiden 2 sequel is handled by publisher, Tecmo Koei. For the first time, Tomonobu Itagaki will not be directing a title of the franchise. Instead, the Sigma series designer Yosuke Hayashi will be taking over.
This latest Ninja Gaiden title will focus on protagonist Ryu’s human side while he embarks into a fight that reminds one of the bowels of hell. Ryu Hayabusa will apparently be sporting a new black suit with metallic overlay, as revealed by some screenshots, though he will still keep the leather outfit that he has been known to wear in previous installments.
Ryu’s new mission is to fight unknown terrorists in London. He will then face the Regent of the Mask. After the brawl, Ryu’s opponent will tell him to “open his eyes”. In the last cut scene, the same mysterious enemy will be shown on the news, which is being broadcasted all over the world, threatening destruction if people don’t agree with his terms.
There will be a few changes to the mechanics of the game, such as in the case of the “Steel on Bone”, which allows the player to cut through the opponent’s body while on slo-mo. There are yet other features such as the new Kunai Climb and a few changes have also been made on some existing techniques. The sliding maneuver has also replaced the Reverse Wind Technique.
