Gears of War 3 (Xbox 360)

Gears of War 3 is the last offering of a trilogy that offers great co-op and a well-executed campaign. It is able to present a great story even through the multiplayer campaign. So, it presents excitement and a range of emotions. The gameplay, as well as the story, becomes more engaging due to the beautiful environments. The Horde mode is made to be more strategic through some fortifications and switching sides when in Beast mode is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the mode does not come with a tutorial. It would have been loads better that way.

Emergence Day is now five years away. Gears of War 3 triumphantly heads towards the conclusion of the trilogy that managed to combine beautiful visuals with brutal combat. The third-person shooter is still savage even in its third instalment. It even provides better opportunities for co-op. The finale is ultimately satisfying making it one of the year’s best shooters. That is saying a lot considering the fact that there are always plenty of awesome shooters to go around.

Even though the game itself is triumphant in its execution, the story still held the human race captive in the sense that mankind is still plagued with the worst troubles imaginable. New characters spice up things. There is a new female squad member called Sam. Gears of War 3 is definitely not a boring end to a wonderful trilogy.
