About this Game
Amy, despite its sweet name, is actually a survival horror video game from developer Vector Cell and publisher Lexis Numérique. It takes a different approach at the infected. The player does not just fight off and defend himself/herself against the infected but he/she must do so with the additional requirement of having to stay with an 8 year old autistic girl, who is the titular character. Sticking with the child is not even about the protagonist saving the child, although that is part of the deal, but is more about the protagonist Lana’s need to remain in control of herself. She has already been infected but for some reason has not turned to one of the slobbering infected while she is still in the company of Amy.
As with any other survival horror games involving the infected, the city is already overrun with enemies. Together Lana and Amy have to defend themselves against both the hordes of monsters and the group of military they will encounter in the game. There is the mystery of how Amy possesses the powers that she has and there is also the urgency that Lana feels about her desperate situation. She must stick with the little girl or else she is lost.
The game is now out on XBLA for 800 MS Points and will soon be released on PSN for $9.99.
