FIFA Street 4 (Wii)

FIFA Street, also dubbed as FIFA Street 2012 being a franchise reboot, is an EA Sports sim video game. It has been four years since there was a game such as this. FIFA 12 developers were also the ones responsible for its development, which was done under the creative direction of Gary Paterson.

The sports title was announced on August 16, 2011 in Germany’s Gamescom event. It was eventually released for the home consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360 this month, March 2012. Just a month earlier, however, the demo was made available starting last February 28, 2012 through Xbox Live. The next day, the same demo was launched on PSN. Those who bought the Season Ticket from EA Sports were able to get hold of early copies of the game. In this installment, Lionel Messi was chosen as the cover athlete. Moreover, there is a venue with a Lionel Messi Barcelona theme as a pre-order bonus. With the bonus come thirteen of the world’s best footballers.

This time around, the cartoony and somewhat stylized visuals from previous installments were abandoned for more realism. There is a lot more emphasis on skills and tricks as before, however. After all, the game is simulating real football. The game is fast-paced and involves small teams with five or six members playing for each. There are also one-on-one matches as well as other game modes inspired by futsal and panna. FIFA Street tries to include as many tricks as it possibly can.
