UFC Undisputed 3 (PS3)

UFC Undisputed 3 is a video game simulation of the actual mixed martial arts tournament. The game was developed by Yuke’s Co. Ltd and published by THQ. The game is set for a February 14, 2012 launch in North America and a February 17, 2012 launch in Europe both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. THQ has an official agreement with the UFC. This is the third instalment that the two parties have agreed upon.

The upcoming video game will showcase UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva as its cover athlete. Silva was chosen via fan voting. There are many changes and improvements expected for the play, one of which is the use of new THQ servers for the game’s online play version. There will be a PRIDE mode, which will be using actual PRIDE rules, fighters and rings. Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros will provide the commentary for this mode and Lenne Hardt will announce the players.

Basically, there are many changes that will be showcased in UFC Undisputed 3, both visually and technically. There will better KO animations in terms of visuals and a redesigned striking game with emphasis on “jabs, quick strikes and combinations” in terms of the technical. There are many other changes but in the end it is about making the game feel and look a lot closer to the real thing.
