Oblivion is a part of The Elder Scrolls franchise of games. It is the fourth installment. This single-player game is set in Cyrodiil, which is the capital province of Cyrodiil. In the game, you will be tasked to look for the hidden heir of an empty throne. This happens because the previous emperor has been recently killed by an unknown assassin. Without an Emperor sitting on the throne, the gates to Oblivion are open so that demons can attack Cyrodiil. Oblivion, by the way, is Tamriel’s version of hell.
You are responsible for looking for the missing heir to the throne. You also need to uncover the plot that could ultimately destroy Tamriel. In Oblivion, such as in rest of the The Elder Scrolls installments, players can go through the main quest at their own pace. You get to have all sorts of opportunities and choices as you go around the wide world of Skyrim. You can join all sorts of factions, such as mages or thieves guilds. Each guild has a complete storyline. In each, you can rise to the head of the faction and also reap rewards.
Oblivion has a great AI system, which is called Radiant AI. This system gives NPCs the chance to make choices based on the world around them. NPCs can make decisions based on food, what to say and people to talk to. They go through actions based on their own personalities or characteristics. NPCs have come alive through great facial animations and lip-synching.
