About this Game
Final Fantasy 13-2 is a sequel to the disappointing FF13. This RPG title, however, has been reaping rave reviews but has not been so far doing so well in Japan where it was released last December 15, 2011. Its performance in North America and the rest of the world is yet to be known as it is set for a January 31, February 2 and February 3, 2012 release for North America, Australia and Europe respectively.
The instalment to the fruitful series sees Serah Farron take over the lead. Lightning, her sister, was the protagonist of the previous game. Serah and Noel Kreiss embark on a search for Lightning in this much-evolved version of FF13. The search for Lightning may prove to be more adventurous than it could possibly be in the past as time gets more liquid in this Final Fantasy world as players are able to travel through “time space locations”. The protagonists will also be attempting to solve problems in between dimensions. These are all attempts of Square Enix to go beyond Final Fantasy’s usual linear gameplay. The franchise seeks to employ more nonlinear elements.
There are also quick time events that are dubbed as “Cinematic Action”. Characters will be able to inflict more damage on enemies in these events.
