Far Cry 3 (PS3)

Far Cry 3 is a sequel to 2008’s Far Cry 2. It is scheduled to be released this 2012. It was previously given a late 2011 launch date. The game is set on a group of tropical islands, which could have been paradise if not for the game’s premise. The island is located where the Indian Ocean meets the Pacific Ocean.

The protagonist’s goal is just to get out of the islands quickly because insanity seems to be common with the natives. Ubisoft Montreal developed Far Cry 3 with the help of associated studios, such as Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Massive.  Ubisoft Reflections is also reportedly helping out. There is a confirmation that the game will be using the Dunia Engine, which was used for the previous title in the franchise. However, to get more depth in the game experience, the developers chose to work with advanced water tech.

The game challenges the player to be able to shoot his enemies while crouching and not lifting his head. The player will be able to execute melee attacks and other forms of combat while on crouch mode. Far Cry 3 is said to have a story mode map that will be ten times bigger than those offered by previous titles of the franchise. The game finds tourist and protagonist Jason Brody not being able to get out of an island because unstable natives may have kidnapped his girlfriend.
