About this Game
Diablo 3 is a much-awaited dark fantasy/horror action RPG being developed by Blizzard. As evident by the title, it is the third instalment of the Diablo franchise. The RPG also comes with a fusion of dungeon crawl and hack and slash. The game was first announced back in June 28, 2008. The game is set in the dark fantasy world of the series called the Sanctuary. Twenty years prior to Diablo 3, some unnamed heroes saved the world. That was back in Diablo 2. These heroes, however, went back. So, new heroes had to face the evil that is looming over Sanctuary.
In the new game, players can explore familiar places such as Tristram. At the moment Deckard Cain is the only confirmed Deckard game. His niece Leah will be a new character. She will accompany the hero in some of the quests. The story will revolve mainly on a couple of surviving Lesser Evils, Azmodan and Belial as well as the Black Soulstone. Diablo 3 will inherit its predecessor’s proprietary engine. This means that it will make use of Blizzard’s custom in-house physics. It will also feature destructible environments that will emphasize damage that can occur within the game. Blizzard is hoping to get the game played on a wide range of systems. Diablo 3 is hitting the stores on May 15th 2012.
