About this Game
Darksiders 2 is an upcoming action adventure video game from THQ. It is set to launch in June 2012 and is the direct sequel to Darksiders. The story will be set in the same period as the original game. This time around, however, the player will take over the Horseman Death instead of his brother War. Death and his two other brothers were informed that War was convicted and sent back to earth by the Charred Council. Death flew into rage over this especially since he consider War the most honorable of his brothers. He has to prove War’s innocence and so his mission begins. Death even travels to the Nether Realms, which is a place between Heaven and Hell. There, he seeks favors from higher beings.
There will be a new set of maps in which the events will take place. The cumulative number of maps has been confirmed to be double of the previous title’s number. The two other horsemen, Strife and Fury, will also make their appearances in the game. In Darksiders 2, Death will be journeying not only across multiple dungeons but around city hubs as well. In the city hubs, there will be NPCs that can give out side quests. Loot will also be dropping as rewards during encounters. There will be 12 varying armor piece categories of loot. These pieces have different enchantments that can fuel the protagonist’s Wrath Powers.
