Hide Game-Info ▲About this Game
Uncharted – Golden Abyss is the first Uncharted series to be released on the new Sony handheld PlayStation Vita. The title was developed by SCE Studio while overseen by Naughty Dog. It was one of the Vita’s launch titles in Japan, released on December 17, 2011. It will also be a launch title for the Vita in EU and NA this coming February 22, 2012.
This mystery-adventure story is set before the events of Uncharted – Drake’s Fortune. The main protagonist, Nathan Drake needs to uncover a dark secret that goes back four centuries. This secret is on the massacre of a Spanish expedition. Drake also has to contend with the rivalry between his friend Jason Dante and Marisa Chase, a missing archeologist’s granddaughter. Drake has to explore several sites, which include temple ruins, river basins and caverns in Central America to find a legendary lost city. During his dangerous search, however, he was pushed towards the Golden Abyss.
This title can be played with the touch screen capabilities of the Vita. With the use of the optional touchscreen control and motion sensitive controls, the player can pick up and reload weapons by tapping the weapon icon on the screen. The game comes with more than two hours of cut scenes. With the visual quality of Golden Abyss and any other Uncharted title for that matter, this is very much welcome. The title has been received with mixed to positive reviews.
