WWE ’13: More Commentators to Make matches more Lively
THQ doesn’t hold back when it comes to hyping up its upcoming wrestling simulation title WWE ’13 in style. Case in point: it took no less than Jim Ross, the legendary WWE commentator, to tweet that the upcoming game will feature more commentators.
Unless you have been watching live games only and never watch sports on TV, you’d know that commentators make the field or court action come alive by overlaying the action you’re seeing with some key background info and stats. The best commentators add yet another layer-their witty and personal takes on the action. That’s the difference between any random guy who can spout off statistics and someone who can truly make the game his or her own. Remember Vin Scully? How about Chick Hearn?
When it comes to WWE, Jim Ross brings a lot of personality. Michael Cole has his strengths, but he does catch quite a bit of hate from the fans lately. Jerry Lawler is, well, Jerry Lawler. When it comes to commenting on the rambunctious, in your face, and larger than life action of WWE professional wrestling, you will need the right commentary lineup and having more than one commentary team would definitely take fan enjoyment to the next level. According to Jim Ross’ tweet, that is exactly what THQ has in mind for the WWE ’13. The game will have more than one team doing commentary. He said there will be several voices.
