WWE ’13: Five key Components that Might Take this Title over the Top
As we have reported earlier, WWE ’12 was supposed to be the iteration/installment that should have taken the wrestling entertainment simulator over the top. While we truly dug the wide range of tweaks it had, some game critics saw that the title focused too much on the details and not enough on the details that impacted the game’s core content operations and gameplay.
This criticism is justified to an extent. However, one thing to keep in mind when checking out game reviews is oftentime it is too easy to critique directions not taken instead of the ones that were taken. Developer THQ can’t read minds, after all. Still, some fan recommendations keep cropping up over and over again. Maybe it would be worth THQ’s time to listen to these five most commonly suggested components that would supposedly turn a WWE title from so so to awesome. The first component is the WWE King of the Ring-type of tournament. This mode involves a tournament with a title in contention. This would be great for both single player and multiplayer gameplay. Next, implement a WWE Legends Roster. This roster should feature incorporate as much top talent and mid talent characters instead of having to download them via DLC. Third, the game’s system should allow more than ten players in the ring at one time. This would make the royal rumbles real rumbles than inauthentic simulations that can be quite unsatisfying. You want to capture the drama and thrills and chills of a real royal rumble.

The more the merrier. Fourth, create a wrestler figures you made using past WWE iterations should be very easy to import. This saves time and provides much needed continuity. Finally, there should be more diversity in possible weapons. Glass, televisions, and a wider array of stuff you can throw, smack, or jab at opposing wrestlers. Variety is, after all, the spice of life.
