The Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim: User Interface Can Be Hidden

One of the more annoying features of many role playing games is that as you gain in proficiency with the game, the user interface is still annoyingly visible. And there is really no customization as the more familiar you are with the controls to hide the user interface so that you can have a cleaner view of the game.

It appears that the upcoming RPG title from Bethesda, the Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim has been listening to RPG fans. Accordingly, they are making the user display completely disappear at your option. This will allow you to turn off or increase the opacity of the game overlay to zero, so you don’t see the interface and you can enjoy the game more fully.

The way they implemented this idea is great. Instead of just giving you two options of turning it on or turning it off, they used the opacity settings. So, if you just needed a slight hint so you could still barely see it, you can do that. Or, if you are a master of the controls already and don’t want to see the user interface, you can do that as well. This is really a great testimony to how the Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim incorporates player experience in design.

Other minor details that have released by developer Bethesda include the fact that plant stems and flowers will disappear from the surrounding environment when you are harvesting them. This indicates that you have harvested these materials. So how about attention to detail besides a whole new level of reality to game crafting and the game world? It’s very realistic.
