Test Drive Unlimited 2: Developer’s Diary Video Released
Test Drive Unlimited 2 developer Eden Games has released its developer’s diary video of the soon to be released latest installation in the long running Test Drive franchise. Based on the video, Test Drive: Unlimited 2′s focus will not just be on updated graphics, ever increasing realism, heightened attention to detail for each car model, and game play, the game would also incorporate the lifestyle involved in the ownership and operation of sleek sports cars.
This greater attention to each setting’s scenery details include what it takes to live the high roller lifestyle in Oahu and Ibiza—namely, elegant gigantic homes, fine-looking women, extravagant amounts of money. In essence, the Unlimited 2 experience plunges the player deep into the fantasy of sports car ownership while boosting the realism of the car models’ details and driving experience. Part and parcel of the mythology of the racing sports car lifestyle are the hard partying scene, the beautiful people, and the leisurely lifestyle. Another focus in Unlimited 2 is the expansion and further refinement of the Massively Open Online Racing (M.O.O.R) format introduced by Test Drive: Unlimited.
Eden Games has announced that online play is free for Unlimited 2 since it is to be a core part of the game’s experience. Other developments in the game include: new status bar/profile bar features and placement, atmospheric weather effects, and heightened location realism.
Test Drive: Unlimited 2 is scheduled for release on February 8 in the United States and February 11 in Europe.
