SSX: Title Tops British Charts

SSX has taken a lift to the very top of the UK video game charts and knocked off Uncharted  Golden Abyss from its previous sales perch. The snowboarding series’ latest entry has returned to the British charts in grand style by claiming the top spot. The series’ previous best was SSX 3 which only managed to get the third highest spot. Other new entries are doing well, too. Mario Party 9 copped third place, one notch lower than FIFA 12 while the SSX-displaced Golden Abyss landed on fourth place. The fifth sales spot is taken by Mario and Sonic at the London Olympics.

Here is the top ten sales leaders for the UK market ending March 3.

7. Modern Warfare 3

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mass Effect 3 will rock the house once its released. Will it push SSX down the sales peak? We shall see soon enough. The highly anticipated science fiction roleplaying action adventure game has many pre-orders and is being watched closely because it marks the end of the Commander Shepard story arc.
