Sonic the Hedgehog 4 – Episode 2: Teaser Promises the Return of Tails and Metal Sonic
The new teaser trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 – Episode 2 has been released by Sega. This comes with a promise that the series will experience some changes as well as new characters and improvements with the graphics. Sega is fully aware that Sonic is no longer quite popular. In fact, the character’s popularity has experienced a decrease right after the 90s. So, Sega has to put in extra effort to make the game feel and look revitalized.
So it made a decision to make the game episodic. This gives Sega time to improve each instalment. It is apparently very excited about all the changes they are applying to Episode 2. There will be familiar new characters. Expect to see Sonic’s sidekick, Miles “Tails” Prower. Fan favorite villain and Sonic the Hedgehog rival Metal Sonic will also be making its way to Episode 2. Sega is not just bringing back popular characters but is actually listening in closely to what fans had to say. It is taking note of what players love or hate about Episode 1 and making improvements out of the feedback. So, Sega is improving the physics and the graphis engine. The game’s control will also be designed as if it were back in the Genesis days. Fans have been longing for this feature.
Episode 2 will not be released for the Wii. This is what Brand Manager Ken Balough had to say about this: “The reason Episode I was on the Wii was because we wanted to bring the Sonic 4 saga to the widest possible audience. Episode II unfortunately will not be coming to the Wii — for reasons most people have probably guessed, but that doesn’t mean the SEGA isn’t supporting Nintendo platforms, we have a very strong partnership and will continue to do so.”
