Sleeping Dogs: New Trailer Takes Racing to the Streets of Hong Kong
Open-World, sandbox game sleeping dogs has started making some waves with the release of a trailer showcasing it’s driving mechanics. The world surrounding the game is a near on perfect replication of Hong Kong, as designers took hundreds and hundreds of photographs.
The game will come with a collection of 65 various vehicles, although we think it is safe to speculate that more will be on the way in the form of DLC. The game will included Need for Speed style drag racing and illegal street racing giving players the chance to get their Vin Diesel on as they battle for money, status and the affection of scantily clad females. Sleeping dogs is not actually a racing game, or it certainly never used to be. So this introduction is all a bit of a surprised. It seems to have taken a lot of influence from Grand Theft Auto and the off the wall Saints Row. This is not necessarily a bad thing as long as the development team implement it well. How ever it could be laughingly bad in reality. Those fast speed subtitles do make it look a bit cheap, which is a shame, because everything else I have seen have shown the game to be promising.
We’ll just have to wait until later this year when the game is released for the full picture.
