Silent Hill HD: Titles in HD Collection May Go Through Separate Digital Releases
According to a PEGI rating, Silent Hill 2 HD and Silent Hill 3 HD are better off released as separate entities. The two titles may be released this way via the console networks. The two titles have each been rated this week as separate titles and not as two titles belonging to one upcoming HD Collection.
The Team ICO collection, for example, and other recent HD collection releases have been given individual digital releases. So we can see the possibilities facing the Silent Hill HD Collection. It has not been singled out for such a release setup. It has, on the other hand, become common practice for titles in such collections to be rated and released separately. The HD Collection will be arriving on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this coming March 6, 2012. It will come with new voiceovers and of course a major improvement in the visuals. After all, this is the HD Collection. The separate release may make the collection feel less like a collection. However, the whole thing sounds reasonable enough especially if titles are disparate in content and rating. The separate releases setup also makes things a little bit easier at least in the digital download setup. Players can also choose some titles over the rest if that is how they feel like.

The Silent Hill HD Collection proves to be a promising addition to your game shelf. It is one of few video games to create a spooky feel while weaving together a story that we would like to follow. Silent 3 is the original’s direct sequel but this does not mean that Silent 2 is any less important. It still provides the supplementary story that makes the world of Silent Hill even more real and even spookier. However the titles end up getting released, Silent Hill HD is a must-have, especially for fans.
