Silent Hill – Downpour: Korn Trailer Released
You have to hand it to gaming conventions and shows because there is always a virtual land slide release of video trailers. Whether it is announcements of new games, teasers, game developers’ diaries, or actual game play trailer, you name it, they release tons of it during these kind of events. These videos swamp fans whenever there is a gaming convention. It makes a lot of sense because it is during these events that the media focuses on game developments and the marketing arms of these game publishers can know where to focus their efforts. The Tokyo Game Show for 2011 is no exception to the rule. There were a lot of trailers released and one of these is for the adventure game, Silent Hill: Downpour.
This installment of Silent Hill features its new protagonist, a convict, Murphy Pendleton. In the trailer, Pendleton found himself stranded in the mysterious town of Silent Hill after his prison bus met an accident. The video, predictably enough, is very dark, gritty and menacing. Do not get turned off from the hard grinding music from Korn, the veteran grunge band from the 90s. The actual music will be handle by the same composer in the hit TV series, Dexter. It will be quite interesting to see how he will make Silent Hill sound like. This is great news for Silent Hill: Downpour because earlier, there were questions regarding its developments. Some people are asking why the release is taking so long. It’s good to know that it’s coming along well and hopefully we can also see Silent Hill: Downpour game play videos soon.
