Saints Row – The Third: New Launch Trailer Is Here

Even when a trailer for Saints Row – The Third tries to be at its most serious, I could not help but feel a little bit suspicious. Is the trailer poking fun… at me? Is it some sort of parody of an action movie that I should know about? Well, that is just it. Just when the actual game has been released, the trailer turns

prude on us. Or is it evidence that the video game can be serious when it wants to. Well, the latest trailer surely departs from all the crazy fun time from the series of Cherished Memories trailers. It does not feature a character dressed up in a wacky outfit while bashing people with the game’s signature weapon, which is a dildo bat that has been recently censored in Japan.

The game is already available in the US. However, there have been some complaints about a supposed exclusive mode offered through PS3. The mode was promised at E3 and it simply is not there in the game. I personally
have not experienced it as I am using an Xbox 360 but I sure want to know what is going on with the PS3 peeps.

What did the announcement say anyway? Well, there was a promise of “an exclusive mode on the PS3 utilizing [Saints Row – The Third’s] signature weapon”, which is the purple dildo bat. So maybe publisher THQ and
developer Volition were having some problems with this. I can only hope that publishers and developers do announce before launch day any promises that they have ended up breaking.
