Pro Evolution Soccer 2012: Trailer shows off hold up play
One of the most annoying things about soccer simulation games is when you’re playing hold up to an opposing attacking player. Older versions required tons of thumb dexterity. Others required precise timing. Even when soccer simulation games enhanced the hold up play using artificial intelligence routines. Still, the hold up move can still be tiring. Also, when paired with trying to go from hold up to tackle moves, it can be quite an awkward experience unless you put in enough time to master it with precision thumb controls.
Thankfully, Konami is on this particularly irritating case and came up with a new ‘hold-up play’ mechanic for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012. When you’re holding up an attacking player, you just push two buttons and the system does it for you. No fuss. No muss. No fumbling around. No frantically tapping controls. No gingerly holding the control stick. Also, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 enhances the hold up to tackle move by applying AI whenever the defending and attacking players are close enough. Talk about a tight game! Konami will release Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 on October 14 in Europe.
