Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition gets an Official Trailer
In a typically upbeat style, Mojang have launched a new trailer in conjunction with Microsoft, showing off the swanky new features that fans will be able to expect when the sandbox building game finally launches for Xbox Live. Minecraft, the indie favourite, has been planned for Xbox 360 for a very long time an now, officially, fans do not have to wait very long.
Minecraft Xbox 360 is scheduled for release on May 9th. This chirpy little trailer lets us take a good look at the split-screen co-op mode, and it certainly looks like fun. The guys at Mojang have really put the emphasis on shared experience, which is after all a massive plus of the Xbox Live system. A lot of people have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Xbox 360 port of Minecraft and it doesn’t look like it will disappoint. Players will have the option of playing in single player mode or playing with 2, 4, or eight friends using the split screen. This means that you can adventure, explore, build, and survive with your friends, as the video so charmingly puts it.
The meteoric rise in popularity of Minecraft is a perfect example of the little guy, with a great idea, actually winning. Minecraft is about the concept, and the implementation. Mojang do not rest on the laurels of fancy graphics and past glories. Only five days now until Minecraft for Xbox 360 is let loose on the general public.
