Hitman 5 – Absolution: Developer Reveals More Game Details
IO Interactive has just released some more detail its upcoming game Hitman 5 – Absolution. It turns out that Agent 47 is not just trying to finish assassination contracts in this latest instalment. Many fans of the franchise are patiently but excitedly waiting for Absolution. Hitman 5 – Absolution will come with the fan-loved stealth mechanics but the action will be amped up for people who are just starting out with the franchise.
Developer IO Interactive is now ready to reveal more about the game’ story, especially the first segments as well as what motivates our protagonist, Agent 47. The game’s lead producer, Hakan Abrak is hapy to share the information. Be warned though that the details may be filled with spoilers. Abrak reveals the shocking first segment of Absolution wherein Agent 4 kills a person who could be one of his few friends. The developer does clarify that Absolution doe not run within a specific timeline in the franchise. The setting is slightly different. The team takes advantage of this by changing the turn of the story completely. Diana, who is Agent 47’s only wholly human link, is killed by our protagonist. This changes the way the game is to be played because the stakes are different now. Agent 47 no longer has Diana’s directions. He has to go through everything on his own.
Abrak also talks about what drives Agent 47. The assassin turns out to be on some sort of personal mission in the new instalment. We see a methodical and professional Agent 47 doing what he is told no matter what. He kills Diana because he receives a contract to kill her. However, he also has to find a girl named Victoria because Diana asks him to do so before she dies. Looking for Victoria is a personal mission and a quest for absolution.
Hitman 5 – Absolution will arrive on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
