Halo: New Fan Film Highlights Guts and Glory
Made with the incredibly low budget of $200, a fan-made prologue video for Halo-The Fallen turned a lot of game fans’ heads. The prologue video shows a war-drained veteran recount his first battle on Reach with the Covenant. In addition to the emotional immediacy, the fan made video also packs quite a bit of CGI elements.
The video has, amazingly enough for a production budget of $200, CGI Grunts, Elites, plasma bullets, and rifles. According to its Youtube description, the video wasn’t made for profit and aimed to highlight the technical talent of its creators. One thing is for sure-if the amount of respect these guys got were converted into dollars, these dudes would easily be millionaires. Never underestimate the power of $200 in the hands of highly talented and highly motivated individuals out to show their love for a long-running fan favorite fps series. This piece of fan art only servers to boost the buzz level for Halo 4. Rightfully so. A couple of months back, there were rumors that Halo 4 was dead. Thankfully, these were nothing but rumors. While the no beta decisions does pack some sting, we’re sure hoping the developer, 343 Industries, did the proper cost benefit analysis needed to justify such a move.
