Halo 4: Weapons Revealed by Developers
A long last we are finally starting to get some information through about the long awaited Halo 4. The reason we are all on tenterhooks to find out more details is that Halo 4 will see 343 Industries take the helm from Bungie. That means we are all even more pumped than usual to see in which direction the franchise will go.
343 Industries have released schematics of five weapons. You’ll be pleased to know that four are old favourites returning. They are the sniper rifle, DMR, assault rifle, and battle rifle. The model numbers have changed so maybe these weapons have been tweeked slightly. It will be really interesting to see if the old favourites will still have the same feel and handling as their previous incarnations. The new weapon is the ARC-920 Railgun. The gun features a compact-channel linear accelerator that fires incredibly high velocity and high impact rounds. The emphasis is on both kinetic and explosive force and will deliver plenty of damage to all kinds of targets. Those familiar with the gauss cannon will already be familiar with this type of weapon. However the ARC-920 is handheld and not vehicle mounted. Sounds like it’s going to have quite a kick-back though, and the weapon is also comparatively slow to fire.
