Gears of War 3: Toys Based on Title Debut at New York Toy Fair
Whenever the phrase “Gears of War” is mentioned, the phrase or even idea of “kids toys” rarely, if ever, come to mind. Weirdly enough, all the gory alien slaughtere made possible by a wild diversity of brutal weapons didn’t stop toy producer Meccano from making toys based on the action adventure series. It surely would be interesting to see what kids aged 8 and up would do with such toys?
Impaling Locust armies with bayonet chainsaws, maybe? How about dismembering unfortunate alien soldiers? While it’s one thing to see adults blasting, cutting, mauling, ripping, and decapitating alien invaders on the small screen, it is quite another to see kids venting their aggression with these Gears of War 3 toys. Regardless of this Kafkaesque scenario, actual kids toys based on Gears of War 3 debuted in New York’s Toy Fair recently.

You can score the following Gears of War toys at the Fair – Centaur Tank, Armadillo APC, and the King Raven helicopter. While the toys are already built and released, Epic games still has to approve the toys. If the units are approved, expect to see these fine gems of anti-alien killing technology to debut at your local neighborhood toy stores as early as this August.
