FIFA Street: Game Set for March 13 Release with Street Network
Electronic Arts’ latest FIFA-based title, FIFA Street is obviously trying to pack a lot more authenticity into this release than normal. Don’t get me wrong, most sports simulation games try to pack as much realism into game mechanics, game physics, and details as much as possible. However, FIFA Street’s setting and premise is a tad bit different and that is why the standard formulation of “realism equals technial or graphic realism” doesn’t quite sum up whtat EA Sports is going for. As you can tell from the name of the title, the game will focus on street soccer. Street soccer is all about personal stunts, personal football tricks, and all the individuality and hustle and bustle of improvised street soccer.
How do you capture this very individual dimension? Based on EA Sports’ trailer and game description, fairly simply, actually – you create a social network and build a community based on authentic individual experiences that allow community members to share their own moves, tricks, and stunts. In addition to sharing, this street soccer community, dubbed the “Street Network” will allow players to organize squads and recruit other individual players to form teams and participate in team versus team challenges.
In addition to the intriguing social aspects, FIFA Street carries more skill moves than the more conventional FIFA Soccer 12. FIFA Street, you see, is just like actual street soccer-it is all about showmanship. This game definitely gives you a wide array of tools for you to show up your competition with your personal moves.
