Fallout – New Vegas: Try Modding with GECK
It was only a few days ago when Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout: New Vegas finally got released. And yet, it never ceased to amaze its gamers with a trail of good news that are making the headlines lately. From action-packed trailers to DLC plans for Xbox 360, now comes the GECK, or the Garden of Eden Creation Kit.
GECK, a mod tool for Fallout: New Vegas, is something gamers will surely find interesting as they get to make some expansions by way of creating new towns and landscapes, designing dungeons and other locations. Modders can also write a new dialogue, introduce new characters, creatures, weapons, and infuse other game elements. It’s more like your imagination is the limit when it comes to modifying the game.
The mod tool is now available for downloads at Bethsoft.com. Check out the wiki for guides and tutorials if you want to give modding a try.
Unfortunately, it’s not all good news for Fallout: New Vegas after a bug was discovered. It can be seen in a YouTube video showing some animation issues at the start of the game. Following this latest development, Bethesda Softworks’ Pete Hines has confirmed that they are set to release patches for all gaming platforms. Perhaps it came out as a surprise for the team who developed the game since it has been reported that prior to its release, producer Jason Bergman was able to squash the animation bug.
