F.E.A.R 3: Developer Loses Staff
There is some bad news in Day 1 Studios. They have to let go of some of its staff after it lost the new Silent Scope game contract. The studio, by the way, was in charge of F.E.A.R. 3. There aren’t a lot of details yet about the major changes being done in the studio but reports say that almost one development team has been let go already after the deal with Konami has gone down the drain.
Nobody is sure just what went wrong with the Konami deal but everything just went down the drain. Both sides have not offered any reasons for the break. The result is just too clear. 95% of the Silent Scope had been laid off. The whole thing is really sad. Not only has a whole development team lost their jobs but Silent Scope is still not going to be pushed forward this time. The last franchise entry was still back in 2002. So, it makes me wonder if there really is a chance for the series to ever be revived. In 2002, Konami published Silent Scope 3. The title did not even get great reviews then. So, is it really wise to release another title for the franchise?

Day 1 Studios is still up for now and left with a “significantly smaller” team. But this team is working on some secret project. Is Day 1 actually working on Silent Scope or has it found another project worth giving their time to? There aren’t a lot of them to make things happen right now so it is going to be harder. I hope them all the best.
