Dead Space 3: Confirmation Causes Rumour Storm
Less than 24 hours after EA confirmed that it was making progress on a Dead Space 3 the internet has started digging around for more info. Industry behemoths IGN have unearthed some rumours regarding what we may be able to expect from the sequel.
Among the most exciting ideas to find weight on the internet is the idea that developers Visceral Games are planning a cooperative campaign mode, which should come as a relief for Isaac Clarke as he is ploughing through Necromorphs. This addition of multiplayer seems to be becoming a bit of a trend for traditionally single player titles, just take Max Payne 3 for example. Other rumours seem to include the idea that the characters will be a lot more agile than they were before. The crouch and roll systems will be updated so that players can maximise the advantage of cover. This seems a rather basic idea for anyone who has played Deus Ex or Mass Effect but it is certainly a feature of Dead Space that could do with a bit of an overhaul.

According to IGN, the offensive systems in Dead Space 3 will see a bit of a redesign too. The plasma cutter will now be combined with a force-gun if the rumours are to be believed and Issac’s telekinesis power will get a bit more complex, allowing him to use it to rotate items too. Isaac won’t just be facing the Necromorphs either, apparently Visceral are planning to include other enemies too. It’s all sounding really positive, though we will have to wait a little while longer to see how much of these rumours are true.
