Assassin’s Creed 3: Ubisoft Annecy Will Do the Multiplayer
After doing an excellent job with the multiplayer mode of Assassin’s Creed – Revelations, the Ubisoft team at Annecy is doing an encore with this year’s Assassin’s Creed 3. Besides the change of setting from Byzantium to Revolutionary War era Boston and New York, the latest installment of the highly popular historical assassination action adventure game also offers fans the possibility of new multiplayer excitement.
While a lot of the positive blog press for Assassin’s Creed focuses on the single-player gameplay and storyline, the series’ multiplayer mode is generating quite a following in its own right. Starting with Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed’s multiplayer feature has grown to offer a richer experience with more new elements. This mode has evolved quite a bit since it was first rolled out for Brotherhood. Revelations’ multiplayer, in particular, got a lot of fans excited. Ubisoft Annecy handled both iterations. Can it outdo itself with Assassin’s Creed 3? We will have to be patient to find out since there has been very little revealed about the multiplayer aspect of AC3 except perhaps that it might be featuring a co-op mode. Also, it is expected that online multiplayer modes will be included in the game, naturally. The game is slated to be released on October 30 and will have Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions.
