WWE Brawl: Title will not be launching this year
Struggling game developer THQ has come out to confirm that WWE Brawl will not debut this year. This revelation broke out on Twitter. A fan tweeted THQ Tank with an inquiry about when WWE Brawl will be released. THQ Tank replied with the tweet: “no, we are focused strictly on WWE ’13 right now, making that the best damn game possible with all improvements.”
While this news isn’t exactly music to the ears of WWE fans looking forward to WWE Brawl, at least it wasn’t the news some fans were expecting (albeit not looking forward to)-a confirmation of the rumor that title was canceled. Good thing the game’s release is pushed out of 2012. This implies that the developer may still be working on WWE Brawl and may be launched at a future date. The title had an awesome video released last year when the game was announced. The trailer shows off cartoon and exaggerated versions of fan favorite wrestlers like John Cena, The Miz, and The Undertaker.
The character designs look awesome. The game incorporates many elements of fighting games-changing backgrounds, special character abilities (like War cry and chain storm), and other elements that definitely set it apart from standard wrestling simulation games.
