WWE ’13: Insider Says the Game is Looking Better Than Ever

Never underestimate the power of hype. If you ask a maker of a product or provider of a service about the quality of their product, of course they will tell you their product or service is great. In fact, you should expect some superlatives. And why would this be surprised? It is like asking a parent if that parent’s kid is good looking.

What parent would say his or her kid can curdle milk just by looking at it? The same goes for video game products. You have to take what insiders say with a grain of salt. In the case of certain games, a whole salt block! Why? In this age of ever decreasing sales, escalating competition, and skyrocketing development costs, there is no room for error. Everything must point towards a hit title or your project might get canceled and your job might disappear. Still, for what its worth, the Art Director of WWE ’13, the upcoming installment to the long-running wrestling simulation game series based on the WWE entertainment and professional wrestling promotions company, WWE ’13 is “looking better than ever.” We are not exactly sure what this means without the privilege of actually getting a peek at the product. That’s why it would be forgivable for us to maintain a healthy level of skepticism. Still, sometimes insiders do get it right when they rave about their product. Remember, the oohing and ahhing of Bethesda insiders about The Elders Scrolls 5 – Skyrim’s graphics? Well, they were right on the money.

That game promised a lot and delivered a lot Let’s just wait until we see screenshots and actual game play to see if B Chambers’ reaction to the art of WWE 13 is on point. With E3 coming soon, we might not have to wait too long.
