WWE 12: Finishing moves will be easier to execute
THQ has listened to fans of its WWE series and has made adjustments to the latest installment of its wrestling sports simulation game, WWE 12.
Unlike previous installments of the WWE franchise, WWE 12′s finishing moves will be easier to execute. This comes as a relief to fans who found it quite a challenge to do finishing moves in previous games. Also, the finishing moves will be executed more smoothly. In terms of actual game play, this means that finishing moves will be done faster in WWE 12. Also, creative director for WWE 12, Corey Ledesma, has confirmed that finishing move animations have improved in this latest version.
As stated in Ledesma’s Twitter account: “Confirmed: Reach animation before signatures/finishers removed. Fan feedback #2 addressed. Thanks!” Now, this is great feedback to the fans. It would be nice to see such rapid feedback for other game titles and publishers, not just THQ and its stable of games. Why the need for this change? The previous WWE installments featured an annoying reach action where superstars had to grapple opponents first before executing a finishing move. Good move on THQ’s part.
