Skylanders – Spyro’s Adventure: New Skylanders Are On Their way
I am thrilled that Skylander Giants have been announced by Activision. There should be more Skylanders all the time. I now have about a dozen Skylanders figures and I still cannot get enough. These figures are neatly lined up in my curio cabinet. My Portal of Power is placed next to my desktop waiting for the next time it will be used.
The thing is I won the game weeks ago. Because of this, my Portal of Power is in rest mode. Now that there is a new bunch coming up, it will have its fun again. Skylander Giants is an official sequel, by the way. Not only that – these giants are really giants for real or at least in terms of their world’s dimensions. The figures will be twice the size of the original Skylanders. There will be eight Skylanders giants as well as eight regular sized characters. So, not all of the Skylander Giants will be humongous. There will be some new elemental types, as well. As I said earlier, I will be able to make use of my Portal Power once again. This is because the new Skylanders figures are compatible with it. The old figurines and the Portal Power are also compatible with the new game. I also don’t lose my levels and upgrades. This means that while playing the sequel my level 10 Drobot will still be able to fight awesomely.
While some may dismiss Skylanders as a child’s game, I am obviously hooked to it. I see it as a great combination of toys and video games. The virtual and the physical just combine seamlessly in this wonderful world that I will continue to explore as long as there are always new Skylanders to make my new visits fresh each time. Are you thrilled, too?
