Madden NFL 13: Latest Installment Looks to Redesign NFL Passing Game
Hype asides, the latest installment of the Madden NFL football simulation series, Madden NFL 13, appears set to walk its talk. The game truly appears to pack a lot of changes under the hood. The game is going to come with 430 new animations for catches. That alone shows how much of a drastic redesign the series has undergone with this upcoming installment.
Say goodbye to all seeing defenders. The healthy dose realism is a welcome addition the key improvements included in this game. Let’s face it-’psychic’ defenders ruined so many plays in the past. Thankfully, Madden NFL 13 put an end to that. It also comes with some graphic gems like redesigning how a quarterback drops back inside the pocket and the changed depiction of pass trajectories. These changes drastically reinvents the passing game for this series. For too many years, many otherwise perfect passes were miraculously ruined by flawless completely bind deflections by defenders coming from different sides of the field. The end of the psychic defender alone makes this upcoming installment worth checking out since realism is the bread and butter of sports simulation games. While the Madden series is awesome on many levels, the psychic defender was one bad detail that left a bad taste in the mouths of many football fans.
Thankfully, those days will be over soon. This new installment is all about realism and everything from the pocket drop back to the trajectory handling is more realistic.
