Madden NFL 13: ESPN NFL Studio host to Appear in Madden?
Trey aka Hal Chapman Wingo III, known to sports fan as the host of the NFL Live studio show posted some interesting tweets lately. Thanks to a quick eye by Operation Sports the verbose announcer said that he would be making an appearance in Madden NFL 13, the upcoming installment of the long-running and highly popular football simulation game series developed by EA Sports.
Wingo even tweeted a picture showing the green screen setup for the game. Green screens are shot so the foreground image (the person or foreground action) can later be superimposed on a different background animation. Wingo even gave football game fans a nice sneak peek behind the scenes by describing the hotel details as well as details of his flight out of Orlando Florida where the EA Sports studio handling Madden NFL 13 operates. After all this coy teasing, a fan came out and straight up asked the host if he will be in the game. The answer is an emphatic “Yes.” Wingo’s selection for a Madden appearance is kind of interesting. He is not a play by play commentator. That is not his forte. He does make great summaries and can do taped studio shows quite well. Spontaneity is not his forte. He does great studio shows. So that’s what we should probably expect. Some sort of round up or show where Wingo does what he does best. The play by play will probably be handled by other sports show celebrities. Expect more details come E3.
