ZombiU: London Setting for new Trailer

London seems to be a bit fashionable lately in video games. Being a Brit I am not complaining, but I have spent a fair amount of time in the capital and it is really just a sprawling mass of dirty streets and busy people. That was not the London seen in this new trailer for ZombieU, but something a bit more terrifying.

Getting involved though is our esteemed figurehead her majesty Elizebeth II as Ubisoft choose to crash through her London home, but hey, she won’t be using it. The trailer actually frightened the bejeebers out of me at one point, which was a surprise as it has been a struggle to see the Wii U as a serious console. ZombieU actually does seem to be proving me wrong in that respect.

I was lucky enough to get a hands on with this game at GamesCom and I have to say I was very impressed. There really is a certain symmetry provided by the tablet controller that is very pleasing. It took a bit to get the hang of it but once I did I found that it really was an asset to the game. Without the added features of the controller, this would be quite a mediocre zombie title. The graphics, as you can see aren’t great, and the game itself relies totally on pre-established zombie tropes. But together with the unique controller ZombieU took on an altogether different characteristic.

Anyway, take a look at the trailer and tell us what you think in the comment section below.
