Assassin’s Creed 3: Desmond’s Largest Role Yet

Desmond may not be everybody’s favourite character but that hasn’t stopped Ubisoft Montreal from throwing him into the limelight in the next Assassin’s Creed release Assassin’s Creed 3.

In the upcoming title, according to creative director Alexander Hutchinson, Dezzer will be grafted into a totally new location during the modern-day story arc. It is widely believed, i.e. Ubisoft once stated, that 2012 would see the end of the Desmond storyline. Assassin’s Creed 3 will give players a greater opportunity to get to know the character and see him in new situations and facing greater challenges. Hutchinson was rather coy about revealing too much but he did indicate that the Desmond storyline will provide serious resolutions.

Ubisoft want to use the Desmond storyline to plug the holes in the overriding story arc. No doubt, however it will only be a matter of time before someone identifies the loose threads following the game’s release  on October 30th.
