The Darkness 2: New Trailer Reminds Us How Awesome the Franchise Is

Publisher 2K Games of The Darkness 2 has a new trailer out. The Darkness 2 is Digital Extreme’s upcoming fps sequel to The Darkness. Players of the first game will be excited to know what happened for the main character, Jackie Estacado.  Of course, the trailer includes spoilers about Jackie’s anticipated return.

For those who were not aware of the original game, Jackie was possessed by the ancient evil to which the game owed its name. Its difference from the first game is his ability to use both his guns and the powers of this ancient evil in public places, a new strategy called “quad wielding”. He is now battling against the New York City mob and they thought it would be clever to kill the love of his life, Jenny Romano. They were wrong because they just gave him no reason to live for and nothing to lose. And with this ancient evil residing in him, they would be no match to him.

Expect the same gothic-style storyline and design art of the previous title to be available at The Darkness 2. It will be available to players of Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on February 7 and February 10 in North America and across Europe, respectively.
