Star Wars – Battlefront 3: LucasArts Promises Industry Transformation
Apparently, LucasArts is on a serious mission to make significant changes to the video game industry, or at least online gaming services. This is what was suggested by the publisher’s new classified ad.
According to the ad, LucasArts is creating an expanded online service structure that will ensure that online gaming is well-supported. This infrastructure should be able to help not just improve but also transform the industry. This move will play a huge and important part in LucasArt’s online success.
LucasArt’s aggressive transformation goal could be hinting that the publisher is bent on developing its own take on Call of Duty – Elite or Halo Waypoint. Could LucasArt be creating an online portal that will pave the way to Star Wars – Battlefront 3? Right now, the publisher has also posted a job ad directed to a possible Seniors Tools Engineer and a Graphics Engineer. They will be working on an action adventure title that should be published on a next-gen console and on the PC. The people who will eventually be taking the positions will be working with a group of “talented artists and engineers.”
With the reference to a next-gen console, it makes us wonder if LucasArts has inside info on a next-gen console besides the confirmed Wii U. is there then a possibility that the guys from LucasArts just like to get prepared for a PS4 or Xbox 720? Whatever the publisher’s knowledge is regarding a next-gen console, it sounds like it knows what it is doing and has a good plan to back its goals up. In the video game industry, transformation should always be a welcome idea.
