Star Wars – Battlefront 3: Game Files Hidden on Resi Disc
Star Wars – Battlefront 3 has become something of an enigma. Battlefront itself has long since disappeared into the murky depths of obscurity. So how come game files have been discovered on Resident Evil – Raccoon City disks? The files in question appear to be images left over from a Battlefront project.
The images are a very strange collection indeed. The weirdest by far being the rendering of Luke Skywalker’s face streched out Buffalo Bill style onto a 2D plain. The other shots show Hoth in various situations, in particular Skirmish. It is beyond strange that these images would appear on the disk. Resident Evil – Raccoon City developers, Six Slant, were rumoured to have been working on a Battlefront project, widely believed to be Battlefront 3. Although as nothing solid ever surfaced, soon the idea disappeared into the mists of time. It is now thought that the project has been transferred to a different studio, Spark Unlimited, who have not confirmed that they are working on the project. Instead they released a statement saying that they are “working on a sequel for a well known sci-fi franchise” but that all aspect must be kept secret. Tricky fellows indeed! It still doesn’t explain, however, how on earth the data came to be distributed on every hard copy of Resident Evil – Raccoon City.
