Resident Evil 6: Mysterious screen cap leaks next series installment?

A mysterious image is floating around the gaming blogosphere. It shows the words “Resident Evil” and the number 6. There is also a date with the graphic – 15.09.2011. The image supposedly came from a closed-door press conference held by Capcom. Resident Evil 6 would definitely be highly anticipated but we all know that trying to rely on forum leaks is like writing a message in a bottle and sending it out to sea. Not advisable.

Is this a hoax? According to some analysts, the date is quite interesting. The September 15 2011 date is the first day of the annual Tokyo Game Show. This might mean that Capcom might release more details come that date. Regardless, Resident Evil 6 is now on the gaming blogosphere’s radar screen and that’s not a bad thing for Capcom, right?

    the story of re 5 was good, but there was no horror…i wish much more horror for resident evil 6^^

    i have to say that the last 2 parts are a bit more like a shooter, then a horrorgame. therefore i also wish more horror! and also more missions without needing a gun ;)

    i miss the times when resident evil was a typical survival-horror game. today it’s just a “survival-shooter” :S i hope resident evil 6 will be the good old survival-HORROR…
