Resident Evil 6: DLC Detailed

well well well, today was a good day for those getting excited about Resident Evil 6. The game is not even out but Capcom have already turned their attention to DLC. And when a major publisher turn’s their attention to something so does the industry, usually.

Today’s big announcement was a post-lauch DLC update, that will add three new multiplayer modes. The three modes, Survivors, Predator, and Siege, will plunge players into new scenarios. Survivors is a survival mode, following the usual last man standing  trope, the twist however is that once you have been you will respawn as a hostile beast and it will be your job to kill the other players. Thus making their lives a whole world harder. That is quite a nice touch really. Once you have killed two humans in you beast form you will be able to rejoin the human side.

The Predator mode will see groups of players trying to survive against a Ustanak while Siege mode sees players trying to protect and eliminate NPCs. Xbox Marketplace hinted at these modes earlier today, but now we have the official story from Capcom. This DLC will be available shortly after Resident Evil 6′s release on October 2.
