Red Dead Redemption 2: Rockstar May Be Brewing An Open World Sequel
It is common knowledge that Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of if not the most anticipated game of the 2012 to 2013 fiscal year. Well, we are basing our assumptions on all the buzz that the game has managed to generate while its developers have generally kept mum about it. GTA 5 looks like it is going to do really well when it does launch – to put it mildly. After all, this is an instalment coming from what could be hailed as the biggest sandbox game of a franchise.
Rockstar Games has other hot stuff going for it, though. Would you, for example, want a Red Dead Redemption sequel right now? I knew you would. The original game was definitely what we could fairly cal the best among the most awesome sandbox games out there. This is not an exaggeration though I could sound like I am. A Red Dead Redemption sequel would definitely be an exciting prospect. However, why was I even thinking about it right now when other gamers are just waiting it out for GTA 5? Well, Rockstar San Diego has just recently announced 6 job openings. They did not include the name of the game in the ads but they wrote down their requirements. They required console development experience, for example. Job applicants should also be ready to work with complicated AI and physics, which may be needed to create “large scale open worlds”.

Now the question is whether Rockstar is developing or about to develop another open world game or if they are creating a sequel for Red Dead Redemption. It is now quite obvious which one I am gunning for but a new IP could also be an excellent prospect. What do you think? What is Rockstar San Diego brewing in its studio right now?
