Grand Theft Auto 4 – Liberty City Stories: Possibly Coming to the PS Vita
Rumors about a possible Grand Theft Auto installment for the PS Vita looks like the perfect storm. Take one highly respected and popular game series and all the buzz regarding the latest iteration of an established handheld console brand and you’re in for a lot of gaming blogosphere rumor and wishful thinking.
Since Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently under development, it is not surprising to see many series fans mixing their anticipation for the title with that other huge source of buzz in the video game industry-the North American release of the highly anticipated Playstation Vita. It’s the perfect storm of video game rumors since each of these brands carry quite a bit of weight on the blogosphere and also on social media sites like Twitter. As awesome as this combo maybe, what are the facts on the ground? According to the blog TwistedJunk, their inside source at Rockstar says Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto 4 – Stories for the Vita. This Vita-specific GTA release will have new game characters, its own particular storyline, and DLC. Rockstar has been mum on this rumor.

We don’t wish to burst anyone’s bubble but it is worth keeping in mind that whenever a new console debuts there are often rumors that a popular game will have a version ported for that new console or handheld. We’ve seen these types of rumors go down in flames before. We’re sure that more than a few GTA fans are crossing their fingers on this rumor.
