Twisted Metal: Game Born To Be a Multiplayer
Don’t think that Eat Sleep Play head David Jaffe is not proud of the single player campaign because he is. However, this does not mean that he won’t be venturing into the world of multiplayer. According to him, Twisted Metal is more focused on the multiplayer.
When asked about the title through Twitter, this was his response: “To keep expectations in check, know this: the bosses are super cool, I think the stories/cutscenes/game fiction is really very cool, and the campaign is more varied than any other Twisted Metal we’ve ever made BUT if you go in expecting a campaign the likes of Batman – Arkham City, Skyrim, Gears of War, Killzone 3, etc…you will be sorely disappointed.” Jaffe also gave out advice for gamers who may be wondering if they should be buying the title or not. According to him, the game is worth the price if the buyer is looking for a multiplayer game. However, if the player is only going for Twisted Metal just for the campaign, they should just rent it.
“Again, not knocking our campaign – it really is the biggest and most varied one we’ve ever done – but just want to set expectations and be super clear that the heart and soul of the title is all about the multiplayer”. We believe that Jaffe is quite an honest guy by playing it this way. He does assure gamers that they are about to deliver the best Twisted Metal game ever even with other games such as Uncharted 3, Skyrim and Batman –Arkham City just around the corner. He also said that he is “insanely proud of the game and the Utah and Sony Santa Monica teams!”
