Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD: Same Levels but Revamped Visuals
By the looks of the six new screenshots from the upcoming Tony Hawk’s HD, the visuals have been greatly improved. If you have seen the actual video clip from the game, you will probably notice how smooth the movements are. Every time you see the character jump off and back onto the skateboard, you will actually be awed by the smoothness and realism of the jump. It is as if you are actually watching a real skateboarder practically flying before your eyes.
Even the details of the clothing look great. The fabric looks soft and comfortable, which is typical for what a skateboarder will wear. While the graphics may have greatly improved, the levels appear to be the same, with Downhill Jam, Hangar, Mall, Marseilles, School 2, Venice and Warehouse making an appearance from the original game. It is still not confirmed whether School and the Warehouse expansion ad-ons will be added to the game.
As for skaters, of course Tony Hawk will be part of the game. You can also be any of the following characters: Riley Hawk, Chris Cole, Lyn-z Adam Hawkins, Nyjah Huston, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen and Andrew Reynolds. There are a few other additional details about Tony Hawk’s HD, for example, you can go back to continue trick combos. There will be walk mode as seen through the demo and the ‘Secret Tapes’ will be replaced with ‘Secret Discs’.
Also, most importantly, the original source code from NeverSoft will be used by Robomodo for this game. So, a lot of things will be just the same. However, rest assured that though the levels may be the same, they have been fully remade. This is an overhaul and not just a fix. So, there should still be a lot of new stuff to expect other than the awesome visuals. What do you think about the technological overhaul of the classic?
